The 4-Step Cycle:

Evaporation: The outdoor unit pulls in air, and a liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat, turning into a gas.

Compression: A compressor squeezes that gas, which causes its temperature to rise significantly.

Condensation: This hot gas travels to your indoor unit, where it releases its heat into your home’s air or water system.

Expansion: The refrigerant cools down and returns to a liquid state, ready to start the process all over again.
SEAI Grants: Save Up to €12,500 on Your Installation
The Irish government, through the SEAI, is now offering massive incentives to help homeowners transition away from fossil fuels. Depending on your home type and the scope of your project, you could qualify for a total grant package of up to €12,500
Heat Pump System Grant:
Up to €6,500 toward the unit and installation itself (Air-to-Water).
Central Heating Upgrade
Up to €2,000 for required works like installing larger radiators or underfloor heating to ensure maximum efficiency.
Renewable Heat Bonus
A €4,000 bonus specifically for homeowners who are replacing an old oil, gas, or solid-fuel boiler.
Technical Assessment:
A €200 grant is available to cover the cost of the required professional survey before you begin.
Am I Eligible?
Home Age
Your property must have been built and occupied before 2021.
Heat Pump Ready
Your home must be well-insulated. If your home was built before 2007, an SEAI-registered Technical Advisor must conduct an assessment to confirm the "Heat Loss Indicator" is low enough.
Registered Contractor:
You must use an SEAI-registered contractor (like us!) to carry out the works.
Post-Works BER
A final BER (Building Energy Rating) assessment must be completed after the installation.
